Whether it’s a broken bone or a broken heart, yoga has been a common denominator in my healing journey. I view my yoga practice as a transformative toolbox for self-discovery, growth, and inner peace that helps me accept my reality as it is. It is through this acceptance that I have been able to heal and move past old stories that were once my reality. By living mindfully in the present, practicing self-compassion, and surrendering to the things beyond my control, I continue to embark on a path of exploration.
The path to healing is not linear from one point to another, but rather continuous, and filled with waves. One is not simply healed by just utilizing the tools and maybe a specific path of another as a guideline. One heals in time, with trial and error, by letting go of old beliefs, patterns, and habits.
Through practices like meditation, self-reflection, and introspection, we can uncover hidden aspects of ourselves, explore our emotions, and gain a deeper understanding of our authentic self. Everyone’s path is different, and the pace of healing varies from person to person. Give yourself permission to honor your own process and progress, no matter how small it may seem at times. Be patient with your healing because it is not a destination, but rather a journey. Recognize that your highest self is always emerging with infinite possibilities. Healing is timeless.
